Cricut Christmas Ideas | Great Holiday Projects and Gifts

Sharing is caring!

I can’t believe it’s December today! Here are a few Cricut Christmas ideas.

Time sure flies and getting ready for Christmas is a big job. Since getting my Cricut Explore Air 2, I have really opened up a whole new world of crafting that I never knew existed! As Christmas is approaching, there are so many things that you can make and do with your Cricut.

Cookies for Santa Plate & Milk for Santa Bottle

Turn a dollar store plate and milk bottle into a personalized item by adding permanent vinyl to them! The plate is for decorative purposes only. It is not food safe as the vinyl is applied on top of the plate. However, for it to hold a couple of cookies for a few hours – I think it is probably fine. I wouldn’t eat lunch or dinner off it, however! To get around this, you could find some clear/glass plates, mirror your image and apply on the underside and then you’d be fine.

The milk bottle is fine as the permanent vinyl is applied to the outside of the bottle so it does not come into contact with the milk.

For tips on applying vinyl to these types of items, check out my blog post of when I made party favours for my son’s birthday party – you can find that here.

Santa Gift Bags

These Santa Gift Bags are available online, as well as some buy-in groups. They are easily personalized using HTV. For a step-by-step guide on applying HTV to fabric, check out my post here. What I love about these bags is that there is no more gift wrapping and you can use them year after year.

Christmas Ornaments

These Christmas ornaments are beautiful and can be personalized in any way. Check out my blog post with step-by-step directions on how to glitter them here.

If you don’t want to do the glitter thing, you can simply get ornaments that are already coloured (either glass or shatterproof) and personalize them with vinyl. Here are my Rae Dunn inspired Christmas ornaments.

Christmas Glassware

When it comes to glassware, you can either etch the glass or add permanent vinyl. For a step-by-step process on how to do glass etching, check out my blog post here.

Permanent adhesive vinyl also works well on glassware. I love that you can incorporate colour into your design. I will say that I have run mine through the dishwasher a few times now and it comes out fine.

Look no further than these toilet paper rolls. Did you know that you can apply HTV to toilet paper?  Check out my blog post here on how to do that.

    1. Hi! There are numerous buy in groups where you can get the bags. You can also purchase them online from wholesalers like DH Gate. Hope this helps.

    1. I use permanent adhesive vinyl. The brand is Avery. There are other brands as well. That’s just what I have easy access to.
